While the original Landrush auctions were closed and available only to those that applied, the upcoming (re)auctions are open to all interested participants. The auctions are provided through Pool.com, the original auction provider for the Landrush domains.

Note to all bidders re: AUCTION EXTENSIONS.

All bidders are encouraged to read and understand the auction extension protocol which is described in our FAQs. In summary, an auction is only eligible for closure when the winning bidder remains the same for the final 24 hours of the auction. Whenever the auction lead changes (which includes changing from no current leader to an active leader) in the last 24 hours of an auction, the scheduled close will be extended to 24 hours after the leadership change occurred.

Please take a moment to read and understand this important “fine print.” This information may impact your rights and/or the rights of other people, so please be sure to read it carefully!

When you choose to register a .CO domain name, either directly through a registrar or through an auction process, you represent and warrant that doing so will not infringe on or violate anyone else's legal rights. If a person or entity claims that your domain name registration infringes on or violates their rights, an administrative proceeding under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) may apply to help resolve the claim. The UDRP was adopted by The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) for the quick and inexpensive resolution of domain name disputes.

It is your responsibility to determine whether a domain name registration infringes on or violates someone else's legal rights. This will likely be the case, for example, if the domain name is registered for the purpose of confusing, misleading or tricking the public; trading on the goodwill of someone else's brand; and/or for any other bad faith reason. In each of these cases, the domain name will likely be lost during a UDRP proceeding and returned to the rightful owner, resulting in the loss of your .CO domain investment.
